Mandemakers keukens is one of the most inspiring brands I have worked for because the brand has an inspiring story alongside a strong vision that has been put out in every aspect of the brand pretty well. We continuously try to improve the user experience by aligning offline and online experience also the journey after sales that even extends to after delivery. In my portfolio I tried to give a small glance of some of the projects I contributed as User-Experience designer.

About the company

Mandemakers Keukens is one of the largest kitchen companies in the Netherlands, offering a wide range of high-quality kitchens. The brand aims to position itself as a reliable and customer-oriented kitchen supplier, with a strong focus on quality and service. Mandemakers Keukens was founded by Ben Mandemakers and has since grown into a successful company with over 10 locations in the Netherlands.

Personalized content after sales

In 2020 we partnered with BlueConic, a Customer Data Platform that enables us to hyper personalize content for our users. We believe we could help users in their after sales journey by providing content on the site which could help them have a better experience at the moment they’ve bought a kitchen. For this concept I've contributed by mapping out the user journey and a clickable prototype and further testing and co-directing the implementation into our CDP.

Result

Our main goal was to improve the experience after sales and delivery, we made a good step forward by providing the needed information early on and being transparent about it. Currently we’re still analyzing data in our CDP for further optimization.

Revamp of the website with personalized content (concept design)

Our vision is to always improve the user-experience. We believe that we could improve the experience the most by helping users early on in its customer-journey. Because each user on the site behaves differently we believe personalized content will be more and more important in the future therefore I redesigned the website with this feature embedded more fluently than we do now. Ultimately I wanted the transition from offline-experience to online-experience to be seamless.
